Board Election Information




1. The Petaluma Health Care District has a five-member Board of Directors. Members must run for election and are elected by the residents of the District.

2. The term once elected is for four years and there is no limit to the number of terms.

3. Prospective Board members must be at least 18 years of age and must be District residents.

4. Board members do not receive cash for their service, however the District does reimburse each Director for their cost for health insurance premiums for medical, dental and vision. Reimbursement for coverage for a Director is not to exceed the cost of a comparable (age based) premium for a District employee.

5. Board members are not to be absent from three (3) consecutive regular meetings or from three (3) of any five (5) consecutive meetings.

6. Board members are expected to participate on Board Committees and Ad Hoc Committee meetings as assigned by Board President.

Information on Upcoming November 6, 2018 Consolidated Election for Petaluma Health Care District Board of Directors

The regular biennial election of the Petaluma Health Care District (PHCD) Board Directors will take place on November 6, 2018 in the consolidated election. There are three PHCD director seats up for re-election – two seats are four-year terms and one seat is a two-year term. Nominations for district director seats will open on July 16, and close on August 10, 2018.

Completed forms must be submitted in person at the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office by August 10, 2018.
