Petaluma Walking Day 2020

** POSTPONED **

Due to the heightened concern about community spread of the coronavirus, the California Governor’s Executive Order and direction from governmental agencies, including the City of Petaluma, we have decided to postpone the Petaluma Walking Day event to a future date. The health and well-being of our community is our primary concern, and at the moment we are focused on supporting our community and our partners to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. We will provide an update on Walking Day when a new date is determined. Please take the necessary precautions to support your health and the health of your co-workers, family and neighbors.

Get out and walk. Your heart will thank you!

Petaluma Walking Day is a local community event honoring the American Heart Association’s National Walking Day to celebrate the importance of heart healthy habits like walking and getting outside!

Join us on Wednesday, April 1, at 1400 Cader Lane in Petaluma any time between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Explore Shollenberger Park, learn about the history of Petaluma’s wetlands, peruse a health fair with local businesses and community organizations, and find out some fun and easy ways to promote heart health. We’ll have booths, information on the park and other walking areas in Petaluma, as well as snacks and other goodies!

Want to Get Involved?

We welcome everyone’s participation in Petaluma Walking Day, whether it’s through a sponsorship, donation of snacks or reusable water bottles, securing space at our health fair to share information about your organization, coming to Shollenberger and bringing some friends, or just getting outside and walking wherever you are!
